Eileen O’Grady is the managing editor of the Scope and a graduate student at Northeastern University, currently reporting on social justice issues, local politics, crime and courts. She is a former staff writer for The Shelburne News and The Citizen, with bylines in The Boston Globe, U.S. News & World Report, The Bay State Banner, The Concord Monitor and VTDigger. She holds a B.A. in politics and French from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Ma., where she served as news editor for the Mount Holyoke News from 2017-2018. In her work she strives to connect communities, inform civic life and amplify voices that are often overlooked or mischaracterized by traditional media. When she is not reporting Eileen enjoys playing Irish fiddle music and exploring the city of Boston.
