“Movement Matters” and community does too
Come by Fenway Community Center on Saturdays at noon, and chances are you’ll see a dance class, specifically, a low-impact dance class tailored toward senior citizens, taught by a student from Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
This year, Ai Li Mok, a third-year undergraduate student majoring in contemporary dance, teaches the class with the goal of reminding participants about the importance of physical and mental health. Not only is this class a fun way for the senior members of the Fenway community to get some exercise in, but it gives college students a chance to connect with the communities they live and learn in.
